Kenji Ulmer is a horn player, composer and chamber musician in Cincinnati, OH. Kenji is the fourth horn of the Columbus Indiana Philharmonic and also frequently performs with the Dayton Philharmonic, Fort Wayne Philharmonic and the Springfield Symphony. As a composer he has written music for horns and electronics, and in May 2017,"Project M" and "Pissin' off the Monkeys at the Zoo," were both premiered with the Seattle Metropolitan Chamber Orchestra. Kenji has commissioned a piece for four horns and chamber orchestra by William Rowe, which was also premiered by the Skylark Quartet and the Seattle Metropolitan Chamber Orchestra. He is currently collaborating with San Fransisco based band, The Belinda Butchers, on the their upcoming studio release.
In his spare time, Kenji enjoys baking bread, playing guitar and going on adventures with his lovely girlfriend Charlotte.
